Data Subjects

The data subjects are the contact persons of the data controller’s customers and potential customers, as well as users of the data controller’s services and websites.

Purpose of Processing Personal Data and Retention Period

Personal data is processed for various purposes, including but not limited to: sales and marketing activities aimed at acquiring new customers, management of existing customer relationships, marketing of the company’s brand and products, including direct marketing and other similar marketing and sales activities, and maintaining direct marketing opt-outs. Customer personal data is retained as long as the customer can be considered a customer of the company.

Regular Sources of Information

The information stored in the register is mainly collected from the data subjects themselves through the Scope.fi website. Personal data may also be manually added to the register as a result of face-to-face interactions, phone calls, emails, or other forms of contact.

We use website analytics services to collect visitor information from our website to analyze and develop our site and target relevant marketing and customer communication to our site visitors. Behavioral data is collected through the Scope.fi websites, emails, and social media channels using cookies and similar technologies. The register information may be updated manually and also collected from public registers.

Principles of Register Protection

Scope Design keeps customer personal data confidential and ensures that all persons handling customer personal data are committed to confidentiality or are subject to an applicable statutory confidentiality obligation.

Manual Data: Access to the customer’s personal data stored on the service provider’s premises is not possible without a person on the service provider’s payroll being physically present in the same space. This ensures that unauthorized parties do not have access to the data. The premises are protected by electronically locked doors and surveillance cameras, and computers are individually secured with personal passwords.

Electronic Data Systems: Access to the register is protected by usernames and personal passwords. Only those employees who have the right to process personal data due to their work tasks are allowed to use the system containing customer data. All Scope premises are locked, and movement is monitored with access badges.

Retention Period for Personal Data

The personal data in the customer and marketing communication register is retained as long as it is needed for the purposes mentioned above.

Rights of the Data Subject

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the data subject has the right to the following actions concerning their personal data:
